The thing that touches me the most in the candidates I interview is the self-confidence. This is especially the case when it comes to the newly-graduates. As an HR professional, I do not expect any experience or any specialty in a specified area when I interview them. So, what do I expect then? The ability of self-expression, self-awareness and self-confidence. Remember that every interview starts with the question: Could you please tell some about yourself? What I need to hear from a newly-graduate is for him/her to express himself/herself clearly once they start talking. I recommend not starting with questions such as what else should I talk about?, where shall I start? I am not sure if it is enough…which might confuse the mind of the interviewer. Make sure you are ready for this before the interview and tell someone about yourself at least twice before you are asked for it in the interview.
