A woman who believes in the uniqueness of every human being; a communicator who is obsessed with the power of communication; an HR professional whose raison d’étre is working.

This sentence summarizes who I am, but I would like to give some details about how I became this person.

I born in Bursa, in the year of 1985 and I lived in Izmit until I left my city to study at Marmara University (Département de Science Politique et d’Administration Publique-Français) in Istanbul which is the same city that I studied my master’s degree at Galatasaray University, in the Department of Sociology.

In the early years of my career, I dreamed to be a journalist but dreams change as life drifts. I experienced being a journalist, but I chose to follow a different path for my future. This future that I chose involved the private sector which I end up enjoying it by touching the life of people thanks to my position, especially the women of the industry.

Firstly, I worked as Internal Communication and Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist at Ford Otosan from 2015 to February 2019. I wrote a project which I consider as the first step that approaches me to happiness, named as “Bal Arıları Mühendis Oluyor (Honey Bees are Becoming Engineers)”. This project was aimed preventing girls to face gender inequalities in their choice of professions and brought me 11 awards in national and international levels.

Then, the life served me an opportunity on a silver platter that paves me the way to reach happiness in my working life. I became Corporate Communications Manager of Teklas. In this position, I am responsible from the appearance of Teklas, both inside and outside, and also managing the CSR related subjects. Later, in July 2019, I also became the Manager of Human Resources Department and my global responsibilities extended to the all HR related subjects including both corporate and industrial HR processes, administrative affairs, talent management, organizational development and occupational health and safety issues.

Lastly, in October 2019, I have become a member of Executive Committee in Teklas. I represent the Department of Human Resources and Corporate Communications at our monthly meetings and make sure almost 6000 employees that I am responsible from as well as my department are in a harmony with the strategy of the company.

In a nutshell, I have changed as life. I chose different paths over time and all of these made me the woman I have become.

Nowadays, I aim to focus on sharing my experiences with the people in the industry, not just with the knowledge that I gained in this journey, but also with the help of my training of Coaching.
